Initial Consultation and Site Assessment: 30 minutes to 1 hour
Placement of Radon Monitors: 15 to 30 minutes
Monitoring Period: 48 to 72 hours (This period is necessary to obtain accurate radon level readings.)
Retrieval of Radon Monitors and Analysis of Samples: 15 to 30 minutes
Report Generation and Recommendations: 1 to 2 hours (This can be done concurrently while the monitors are in place.)

No you do not. As long as we have access to the home or access to the key lock box, we can perform the inspection when no one is home.

Our goal is to make the radon inspection as simple as we can for you. We ask that you maintain closed home conditions starting 12 hours prior to our arrival and ensure that we have access to the home. To learn more about closed home conditions please see this article.

The EPA recommends taking action if radon levels in your home are 4 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) or higher. Lower levels are preferable, but any level of radon carries some risk.

It is recommended to get a radon inspection every two years or whenever you make significant changes to your home, such as renovations or installing new ventilation systems. Additionally, if you are buying or selling a home, it's advisable to conduct a radon test to ensure safe levels.
